Consumer Protection Protecting the consumer rights of medical patients is our first and foremost goal!

The advent of dysfunctionality within many sectors of the medical fraternity has become common place in South Africa. This has led to medical health care being sub standard and patients rights breached as an all to common practice in many sectors recently. Doctor arrogance towards patients is also on the rise, a factor that will NOT be tolerated.

The days of humility on the part of the Doctor seems to be lessening and arrogance seems regrettably to be becoming a more common complaint by patients. This at the least violates the benevolent spirit of medicine, very much so at the expense of the patients dignity. Any uncalled for condescending, egotistical, or arrogant behaviour by a Doctor towards a patient is not acceptable and must NOT be tolerated. Yes Doctors are also human, however, they are trained professionals and they must act accordingly. Further, unprofessional conduct or incompetent practice, must not be tolerated at any time by anyone! A disregard for medical etiquette is becoming more evident as medical staff arrogance grows, at the mental and financial expense of patients. The fundamental right to know what is being injected into you, administered by IV, or given to you in tablet or oral form, you have a right to kmow what it is, not after you have asked, it sghould be explained to you as a matter of natural proceedure in the course of the treatment you are undergoing, you have a right to be informed and a right to know. It is every patients right to know all and everything about the treatment, procedures and medicines being administered, never forget this. In our world as we know it, it is not the same as in years gone by. Financial greed is taking precedence over the sanctity of the sacred hippocratic oath, creating a fertile breeding ground for corruption and medical fraud, a true and out of control reality! The days of feeling secure when put in the hands of someone that should make you feel secure and instill trust are becoming less. When indiscretions are perportrated by Doctors, the thought of possible recourse is virtually impossible to imagine to the average layman patient, our ever increasing dysfunctional infrastructure does not make that thought any more pleasnat to ponder a solution. The layman doesn't know his/her rights, or and how and where to apply them. That is why we are here...! We will bring corrupt and unethical medical element to justice! Arrogance over empathy will NOT be tolerated. Doctors and Nursing staff that feel they are greater or superior than those that they serve, will find just how quickly that can be brought down to size! Medical Cop and Consumer Cop, a collection of professionals each proficient in their own right, all working collectively and collaboratively to root out this scourge of arrogant indiscriminant behaviour of medical staff, that so prolificly breach human rights and the dignity of patients with impunity, these are our targets.

We will prevail using advanced electronic forensics and other means at our disposal to name, shame and ensure justice is carried out on these offenders. Once we lock onto a suspected offender, we won't stop until we have achieved our goal.....Justice!
